Easter Decor a Little Late

Easter has now come and gone and I have yet to share some of our cute decorations! The thing that I love most about having our own home is being able to decorate it :) Even though it may stress me out sometimes (Am I silly for stressing about this? Please tell me I'm not alone! ha ha) I love making our house feel like a home. So, here it is-
the spring decor gets to stay but bye bye Easter!

Now bring on Summer! 4th of July is my favorite holiday and I can't wait to decorate!

Hello Spring ♥

I made this cute banner yesterday out of paint chips from Lowes.
(I took this picture with my phone, so sorry about the poor quality)
Easiest craft E V E R!
I added it to my porch for a little extra color!
I'm just about done with the rest of my Spring/Easter decor and I am LOVING the way it makes our house feel!
Bring on S P R I N G ♥

Milk Can Make-Over

I have been wanting an old antique looking milk can for my front porch for a while now and all the ones I found to buy were SO EXPENSIVE! I was a little shocked that they were that pricey. When Gabe went to change the locks on his dads shop he found 2 and brought them home for me! I was pretty excited about it :) Thanks babe! I wish I would have taken a picture before we sanded them so you could see the whole transformation but just picture something like this.... but more rusted and worn.
...not quite my style ;)
So naturally I got on google and started looking for some ideas on how I wanted to do ours. I found these 2 pictures as my inspiration:

I enlisted the help of my cute husband and we started sanding them down..
then washed them really good,
primed them
and painted each the color I wanted!
The paint only took about an hour to dry-
which I appreciated since I was really anxious to get these finished!
Once the blue can was dry we dilluted some of the brown paint with paint thinner, lightly brushed it on, and then used a rag to wipe most of it off to give it a dirty/antique look.
We did the same thing with the brown can, only we used a creamy white color.
I am very happy with our end result!
What do you think?

Saturday Crafts.

During the rain/snow storm Saturday I worked on a few little Valentines crafts.
I love this holiday and I love decorating for it even more!
Oh and I just have to share how adorable my husband is haha he sat with me for an hour and helped me make those little turquoise rosettes ;) with a drill even! He is so sweet and I'm so grateful he was willing to spend his Saturday afternoon making ribbon flowers with his wife! ;)
