A few weeks ago we took a road trip to Texas!
We drove through Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and into Dallas, Texas.
It was thee UGLIEST drive. ha ha but despite the blah scenery we still had fun!
I got to spend 4 whole days with my husband, and got everything paid for-- cant beat that! :)
My camera sucks and I looked awful most of the time so the pictures aren't the greatest quality.

Kansas... .is the ugliest state I have ever seen and it smells horrible! We even had a can of Febreeze that we would spray into the air vents and then blast it. ha ha |
We drove a few hours out of our way to visit Dodge City, Kansas. Dodge City is famous for being a wild frontier town of the Old West. Its also where Sheriff, Wyatt Earp, made a name for himself.
Dodge City wasn't as cool as Gabe was expecting.... we didn't hang out long. ha ha
We drove into Oklahoma in the dark so we couldn't really tell what the scenery looked like. All we knew was that it was FLAT and there were huge oil pumps everywhere. We stayed outside Oklahoma City that night and when we woke up the next morning we were definitely surprised! Out of our whole trip, Oklahoma was by far my favorite! Sadly, my camera was dead through most of this state :(
Finally after 2 1/2 days of driving we finally arrived in TEXAS! We were there on November 19th and 20th so keep in mind we hadn't even had Thanksgiving yet....
Texas really loves Christmas! haha the whole entire state was decked out with elaborate Christmas decorations on every corner.

I was obsessed with their street lights. haha |
On Saturday night we hurry and got ready and headed down to Fort Worth, Texas.
Gabe was so excited to see the famous Stock Yards and we were both hoping it wouldn't be another Dodge City. Fort Worth did not disappoint!

These longhorns span over 6 feet. |
We spent a few hours in Fort Worth before we decided to leave and do some sight seeing in down town Dallas. We were only there for a short time so we tried to cram in as much as we could! The city of Dallas is HUGE. Right in the dead center of the city they had this awesome sculpture display. There were 49 longhorn sculptures along with the working cowboys to honor the history of the cattle drives through Texas.
We had a fun trip just being together and making some fun memories!
Merry Christmas from Dallas!
