Tony Reid Tams

Tony Reid Tams unexpectedly left the lives of so many, on the morning of Monday, February 13, 2012 at the age of 53, after he suffered a heart attack. He has honorably returned home to the loving arms of both his Heavenly Father and earthly father. Tony was born June 24, 1958 in Ogden, Utah, the oldest son of Reid and Doreen Tams. He is survived by his siblings, Camille, Cynthia, Kathleen, Alan, Jennifer, Joseph, Matthew, and Amy. He served a faithful mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fresno California and would continue to serve the Lord for the rest of his earthly life. He was sealed not only for time but eternity to Michelle Hawks, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 11, 1980. Together for the next 31 years he lived side by side with his beloved wife. He is survived by their four children, Christina (Chris) Hansen, Tori (Casey) Mickelsen, Candice (T.J) Sorensen, and Gabriel (Carlie) Tams. Tony leaves behind a legacy of love that will effect countless generations yet to be. Beginning with his 11 grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as their "Wacko". He was smitten with each and every one of them, and in return gave them each their own nickname. He was and will continue to be a great influence in each of their lives. A quiet, kind, and loving man, Tony had a Christ like quality that shined through by his selfless actions and service he gave faithfully and willingly throughout the course of his life. A righteous man of God, he never expected anything in return. He was also an honest and hardworking businessman, trusted and respected by many. Special thanks to Clinton City rescue squad and Davis Hospital for their service.

We love you and miss you. But we rejoice in knowing a Son of God has returned home.

So sorry for your loss! He was so young. So grateful we have the knowledge of the gospel in our lives to reassure us that we will see our loved ones again!

I love him, what a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful man.

I love that Gabe found you, and that I got to know you a little better this weekend. Tragedy does have gifts.
